I'm not a big fan of lines. Sometimes they're okay, but if they are long and slow moving, I don't like them very much. Unless I'm waiting for food. I will wait for food. Especially pizza.
The other day me and my wife went to this thing called the "Galaxy of Lights" at the Botanical Gardens. Basically, you drive through the grounds, looking at all the pretty Christmas lights they have set up. It's pretty neat. They had Christmas lights in the shapes of all kinds of different things. There was deer, Santa Clause, and a lot of animals that you would find at Sea World. One set of lights represented Santa going through sheets of paper, sorting them into two different piles. One pile was the "nice" pile, and the other was the "nasty" pile. No, that is not a mistake, it actually said "nasty." I think the saying goes, "naughty or nice," I don't remember seeing "nasty" anywhere. It's really not accurate. Because you can be nasty without being naughty. I know lots of kids that are nasty but not naughty. As a matter of fact, I would submit that most kids are nasty. I know when I was a kid, I never wanted to brush my teeth, and I thought taking showers were a waste of time. But I generally wasn't really a naughty kid. It almost sounds kind of perverted. Can you imagine Santa thinking to himself, "I'm not bringing a present to this kid, he was a little too nasty this year." See? It sounds like he's talking about some perv. Anyways...
Like I was saying earlier, I'm not a big fan of lines. The Galaxy of Lights was basically one really long line of cars. So we're in this line, and it gets really frustrating because I am behind these two cars, and in front of those cars was a huge long space of nothing. And I'm thinking, "Why don't they just drive up? There's all that room!" Have you ever been standing in line, maybe at the bank, or the DMV, and the person in front of you has all kinds of room to move forward, but doesn't notice, so you feel like you're standing there and you can't move, even though there is plenty of opportunity to move? Those moments are frustrating. I kinda just want to scream in those instances. You know, I just wanna go, "GO!" I thought about getting out of my car and slashing the person's tires, and then driving my car around them. I think the same thing anytime I'm in line and faced with this situation. I'll be standing at the bank, and think to myself, "I'd really like to go slash this person's achilles tendons and walk around them." And if they complain, I'll just reply, "Sorry, you should've paid attention," and then I'll just move on. Sucks to be them. Losers.
